Giada Trebeschi, born in Reggio Emilia 08.08.1973, grows
up in Bologna the city that, even after all the next movings,
will always be tho one where she really feels home.
She gets her scientific baccalaureat in Bologna at the domenican
Institute Sant’Alberto Magno and then moves, together
with the family, to Pescara. Here, in 1996, she graduates
in Lingue e Letterature Straniere at the University
G. D’Annunzio; in 1998 she graduates again in Lettere
Moderne at the l’Università G. D’Annunzio
of Chieti starting, immediately after it to work together
with the professorship of «Modern and Contemporary
History» at the faculty of Foreigners Languages and
Literatures of Pescara and being instituded Cultore della
Materia since 1999.
After the first theatre experiences in Bologna, the meeting
with prof. Roberta Mullini at the University of Pescara
pushes her to create a theatre group within the university.
The group, that she constitutes, togheter with other students
in 1994, is named The Merry Devils Group of Players.
The first plays, born from seminars of English Literature,
are on stage in original language. The great success obtained
motivates her to create a semi-professional university theatre
group that will organize from 1997 to 2002 four Multilanguages
Reviews (with plays in English, French, Spanish, German
and Italian), two Conferences University on Stage and, for
two years, professionals workshops for acting, stage-direction,
play-writing and coreography.
The 2002 is the last year she partecipates at the organization
of the events; in this very year she is on stage with W.
Shakespeare, The Taming of the Shrew, that she also
adapts, as Katarina. At the same time she organizes the
second Conference University on Stage - that this is now
international - and she also writes the script for the dance-play
Nouvelle – Omaggio a D’Annunzio that
will close the whole 2002 Review.
These are the same years in which she also works very hard
for her scientific career that smoothly progresses: in 2001
she obtains from the Sovrintendenza Scolastica of Bologna
the licence to teach Italian, History and Geography in high
schools; she publishes many different scientific works and,
in february 2005, she gets her philosophy doctorate in Storia
del Mezzogiorno e dell’Europa Mediterranea dal Medioevo
all’Età Contemporanea at the University
of Basilicata.
In theese same years, she works with different professional
theatre groups as actress, director assistant and writer.
Together with this, she really enjoys her historical research
on the Ezzelino da Romano family out of which she chooses
to write not a scientific work but her first novel The
Ezzelino. Lords of War, Firenze Libri 2005, that
obtains a good success of public and that will be in the
final of the important italian price «Campiello –
Opera Prima» of 2006.
In 2008 she publishes her second novel "The book of
Shadows´ Women", again with Firenze Libri.
She actually lives and works in Switzerland.
